We are happy to start the first blog with arrival of our first batch of products from Japan, Kagoshima (鹿児島）prefecture and beloved Chiran (知覧)town.
Chiran is a beautiful old town with a long history in Kagoshima prefecture- southern Japan. Although Shizuoka prefecture has been known as the center of Japanese green tea production, Kagoshima has the second biggest tea farms and production after Shizuoka.
The green tea packages arrived today from Chiran-Kagoshima are Fukamushi-cha (深蒸し茶), which means ‘Deeply Steamed Tea‘. Fukamushi-cha is my favorite,
